Our previous intake of sewing training students graduated in March 2025 and our new group commenced in April 2025. This programme is funded by the Park Hyatt Hotel in Siem Reap and we are very grateful for their ongoing support. We have 9 students for this intake who will spend 8 months in the programme.

These young women come from very disadvantaged backgrounds and have little if any opportunities to gain new skills to help them improve their lives. At the end of their course we donate a sewing machine and sewing start up package to each student. Many go on to work in their own business or are able to find employment in Siem Reap.

On May 15th, we celebrated the Vesak Boja  which is a big and important Buddhist Festival in Cambodia all our students attended and enjoyed this time together with the community.​ This celebration is dedicated to 3 special days during Buddha's times; Buddha's Birthday, The Enligthenment Day, and The Parturing Day.

On April 12, 2026. LHA and LHA Alumni Foundation(LAF) proudly hosted a meaningful alumni gathering under the theme “Resilience and Patience.” The event brought together alumni from various LHA projects, creating a vibrant space for connection and shared learning.

The program featured two distinguished guest speakers: H.E.. Somnieng Hourn, Founder of LHA, and Mr. Sam Sopich, General Manager of Vgetfit. Their insightful and inspiring presentations offered valuable perspectives on personal growth, perseverance, and professional development.

A highlight of the gathering was the active participation of alumni, who enthusiastically shared their experiences, best practices, and challenges. These exchanges fostered a strong sense of community and provided practical lessons to support each participant’s next steps in life and career.
